A little pricey, like most smaller hardware stores but it's right in town and they have a good selection. Staff during the week is awesome! Weekend staff is horrible. Typical teenager /young employee mentality - they want you in and out so they can go back to socializing with each other, can't answer questions or give blow-off answers to try to get rid of you. Nevertheless sometimes you just have to go to the hardware store on weekends. Typically closed Sundays in winter.
I was able to rent everything I needed for a party from Chatfield in Southbury. Everything was clean and beautiful. The service was great. Chris and Joe were extremely helpful. I recommend and will be using Chatfield for all my party rentals in the future.
I went in on Sunday March 26, 2017 to Chatfield carrying a bathroom sink with two badly corroded faucets that I couldn't remove. I was hoping to buy a tool to take off the faucets. Charlie spent 45 minutes helping me to remove the faucets from the sink. I wanted to pay him for his time and help but he wouldn't take any money. What a wonderful family run business this is. I highly recommend Chatfield.
