Southbury has a large population of people who could use a job.
Once I went here and my phone went " bing" and Google was like, "Take a pic of this place". So I did.......and then like a month later, Google said, "9000 people looked at your pic". Dude, I'm famous!
I was very disappointed to find out that Stop and shop doesn't match Shop rights offer of a free turkey when you buy $400 worth of groceries. In years past you guys would match the offer. I didn't realize that your store is doing so poorly that you can't give out free turkey and that a smaller store can afford to give turkey to their customers
Not a fan of this store. They screw up my moms groceries often. She constantly had to go to customer service. Many cashiers/ baggers suck at bagging too. A friend of mine took on a pt job here like seven years ago years ago ( mind you she has a lot of cashiering and customer service under belt - they obviously where threatened by her( she's very attractive and female supervisors bullied her making her feel like she sucked at her job and was doing everything wrong) jealous much? I think so ! Many of the younger employees treated her poorly and she was almost old old enough to be some of their mothers ( they really disrespected her . Which nobody deserves that kind of treatment. Thank God she left - I don't recommend this stop n shop at all
I didn't think it was possible but the checkout is now worse. They increased the self- checkout area but it's still only staffed by one person who is no where in sight. Of course there isn't enough room in the bagging area for the grocerys if you have more than three bags... if you try and take a full bag out of the bagging area it won't let you and then triggers a "employee assistance required".... sigh... just staff the normal checkouts with actual people please and more than just two. Ever walk into Caraluzzis in Newtown or Georgetown?.... Every one of their checkout lines is always open... super easy and quick.
Im just disgusted with my last visit to stop and shop in southbury, back rooms smelling of foul oders (like dead animal)enough to make you want to Vomit & then I come across to green and black mold all over stop and shop brand cheddar cheese that has been labeled as "aged cheddar". When I brought it to the front desk they showed no responsibility for that being on the shelf. Very disappointed & calling the health department to contact the store with a visit. Just outrageously dangerous to the consumers health.
